Together in Motion is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting amputees and their families through peer support, education, resources, community connections, and advocacy. Our mission is to ensure that no one faces limb loss or limb difference alone.

Anyone affected by limb loss or limb difference is welcome, including new amputees, long-term amputees, caregivers, family members, and friends. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive community for all.

No. Our support groups are open to anyone seeking connection, encouragement, information, or support related to limb loss and limb difference.

Yes. Thanks to donations, grants, and community sponsors, our support groups and peer support services are provided at no cost to participants.

A peer visitor is an amputee who has lived experience with limb loss and is trained to provide encouragement, share experiences, and offer support to individuals adjusting to life after amputation. Currently, Together in Motion has one Certified Peer Visitor who has been certified through the Amputee Coalition.

Absolutely. Family members, caregivers, and loved ones are often navigating their own challenges and are encouraged to participate in support opportunities.

Yes. We offer virtual support opportunities so individuals can connect regardless of location, mobility, transportation, or scheduling challenges.

There is no right or wrong time. Some people seek support before surgery, while others may not reach out until months or years later. Whenever you’re ready, we’re here.

No. Together in Motion does not provide medical, legal, or mental health advice. We encourage participants to consult qualified healthcare professionals regarding treatment decisions and medical concerns.

Yes. We welcome youth and families affected by limb loss or limb difference and are actively working to expand family-focused programming and support opportunities. Minors are required to either have an adult present. Youth ages 13+ are allowed to attend without an adult as long as they have signed consent from a parent or legal-guardian.
